Dr. Patrick Freud, chiropractor, DC

Chiropractic, Functional Neurology

Dr. Freud holds a Bachelor of Science degree (High Honours) in Anatomy and Psychology from McGill University, a Doctor of Chiropractic degree (Highest Honours) from Parker University in Dallas, Texas, and a Chiropractic Neurology degree (Highest Honours) from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. He is board certified from the American National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and l’Ordre des Chiropraticiens du Québec and is a member of l’Association des Chiropraticiens du Québec and the Canadian Chiropractic Association.

In 2007, Dr. Freud obtained Diplomate status from the American Chiropractic Neurology Board and became one of the first Canadian chiropractors to have this certification. He has since completed Functional Neurology training from the Carrick Institute of Graduate Studies in the treatment of Concussion, Vestibular conditions, Movement disorders and Pediatric neurodevelopment problems. He has also helped establish Chiropractic Neurology educational programs in Calgary, Toronto, and Montreal.

In addition to being in private practice since 1996, Dr. Freud has been an Adjunct Professor of Anatomy for McGill University’s Faculty of Medicine since 1999. He is executive director of the Functional Neurology Society since 2011 and has been lecturing internationally on concussion management and functional neurology applications through Adjusting the Brain seminars since 2015.

Dr. Felix Shum, chiropractor, DC

Chiropractic

Dr. Shum completed his doctorate degree in chiropractic at l’Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR) and is presently pursuing advanced training in functional neurology through the National University of Health Sciences and the International Association of Functional Neurology. He is board certified from the l’Ordre des Chiropraticiens du Québec and is a member of l’Association des Chiropraticiens du Québec and the Canadian Chiropractic Association.

With a deep passion for helping people, Dr. Shum took part in a humanitarian trip providing free care to impoverished communities in Bolivia. He was also on the medical staff of the UQTR varsity cheerleading team where he developed a special interest in treating athletic injuries.

Perfectly bilingual in English and French, Dr. Shum is also fluent in Cantonese.

Dr. Eric Legault, chiropractor, DC

Chiropractic

Dr. Legault is a graduate of the New York Chiropractic College since 1999 and has a practice in Sainte Anne de Bellevue and at the Freud Clinic. He is board certified from the American National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and l’Ordre des Chiropraticiens du Québec. He is a member of l’Association des Chiropraticiens du Québec and the Canadian Chiropractic Association, as well as the Phi Chi Omega Chiropractic Scholastic Honour Society.

Dr Legault is also a graduate from clinical neuroscience program of the Carrick Institute for Graduate Studies since 2015.

Mélanie Grenier

Osteopathy

A registered nurse since 2002, Mélanie Grenier has specialized in cardiology and cardiac intensive care since 2007. Her vision of health promotion prioritizes the human side of medicine, as well as education. Following her passion for anatomy and the complexity of the human body, she pursued the study of osteopathy at College d’Etudes Osteopathic de Montreal in 2010. While continuing her studies, she participated in a humanitarian aid project in Peru where she offered osteopathy services. She is now continuing her education with post-graduate classes.

Nathalie Durand, licensed massage therapist

Massage/Body work

Nathalie Durand completed her Bachelor’s degree at Concordia University. After recovering from a serious horseback riding accident in 1994, Nathalie pursued her curiosity about healing in the alternative health field. Developing a passion for massage, she underwent almost 2000 hours of training in Canada, the US, and India. She has since devoted over 20 years in alternative health using massage therapy and holistic manual therapy.

She is a member of the Fédération Québécoise des Massothérapeute Agréée  (FQM) since 1996, a member of the International Association of Healthcare Practitioners (IAHP) since 1997, and has completed advanced studies in Craniosacral therapy with the Upledger Institute in 2000.

Nathalie combines listening, presence and awareness into her wide variety of modalities. Her sessions may include mobilizations, stretches, acupressure points, fasciatherapy, myofascial release, dialogue, deep flow and other techniques, adapted to the patient’s comfort, with or without oil.

Susan Kingston, Registered Holistic Natural Nutrition Clinical Practitioner

Susan Kingston has been practicing in the field of nutrition and ortho-molecular medicine for 15 years. She attended the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition and graduated with high honours in 2013.

Specializing in conditions such as IBS, Crohn’s Disease, Colitis and the link between the gut, nutritional deficiencies and brain function, Susan assists people in their quest to gain better health. She offers individual nutritional consulting and supplement counseling while working with clients to find the diet that is correct for their system and that is practical and easy to implement. In addition to helping digestive complaints, her approach may improve many other problems such as chronic illness, inflammation, fatigue, ADHD, depression, anxiety, and more.
